A motorcyclist suffered significant burn injuries after a motorcycle crash and fire on Route 66 in Marlborough, Connecticut, overnight, according to the Marlborough Volunteer Fire Department.
Firefighters were called to the area of Route 66 at the intersection of North Main Street and South Main Street at approximately 12:15 a.m. following reports of a motorcycle accident involving fire.
When first responders arrived, they found two people on fire. Firefighters and bystanders quickly worked to extinguish the flames, bringing the immediate danger under control.
